“In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”

‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We now know what the word apocalyptic means in the Greek translation(apokálypsis): revelation. It means to uncover, reveal, or make known. I believe that one of the things that does that is light. So, I’m just going to expound on this.

As you can see in the verse above, light uncovers darkness. Not only does light uncover darkness but it also cannot be hidden. When light shines, darkness flees.

Let’s make a connection: If the life that was and is in Jesus the light of men and we are the light of the world(Matt 5:14-15). We are to be a reflection of that light.

Scripture says:

“We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬ ‭TPT‬‬

So, we can see that the light reflects in you transforming you to be more like Christ but the light that you’ve now received is now supposed to be reflected outwardly.

Going back to Matthew 5:

““You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The light within you is not only for your transformation but it is to be expressed outwardly to point back to Christ. I’ve heard many say “you are the first Bible people read” and it alludes to the fact your life should reflect Christ in all ways. That’s the art of reconciliation that was given to us when we were reconciled to Christ (2 Cor.5:18).

In order for the light to shine it must be put in the proper place. A city that is set on a hill and putting a lamp on a lampstand reveals that in order for the light to shine correctly and brightly it must be positioned in a place where it can do so.

In John 15, the Word says to “Abide in Me and I in you.”

This is a connection. This type of connectivity suggests that you need to be in a certain posture or position. God wants us to occupy a certain space for Him to be formed in us and not only to occupy it but to remain there.

Abide means to remain. It suggests a consistency.

You cannot receive Him if you’re not in the place where He is and you cannot be a proper representation of Christ if you’re not in a constant connection with Him.

God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). How are you proving through your consistency that you need and want Christ? One thing I’ve discovered is that God doesn’t respond to casualty, He responds to the hungry. God wants a people who is hungry, desperate, bold, and on fire for Him!

If you want more of Christ, you must create the ability and the availability to do so. God can only do so much with the space you allow Him to be in.

In this month and of course even after, you will find that as you spend more time in the presence of God He will start dealing with you, exposing things you must get rid of in order for Him to take you to the next. You must be pure before God promotes(Ps.24:3-4). And the only way you become pure is remaining in the presence.

This is the month to begin allowing Christ to be formed in you! Can God see Himself in you? Can He and others identify Christ?

"In the name of Jesus may you not only receive revelation but become it! May you seek God diligently from this point forward that Christ may be formed in you richly shining in you and through you, amen."

“God doesn’t respond to casualty, He responds to the hungry” wheewww. This was tewww good. Reading about being the light that points back to Christ kind of reminded me of the movie Wreck It Ralph lol. There was a beacon of light in one of the games and when that light shines in the sky it draws these mechanic bugs to it (weird reference I know) but that’s the visual my mind drew for. Anywho I loved this. I pray I will become revelation🤏🏽
