Welcome to the sixth month of the Year of Disruption. We are nearly half way through the year and God has already done great things in our midst.

For the month of June, we are going to hone in on the focus of Holy Spirit, Healthy Soul, and Clean Soles.

As a ministry, we tend to focus on a lot of spiritual activity. I do not regret that. It is important that we be spiritual. However, God reminded me that any spirituality that does not translate into your practicality isn't functioning accurately. Spiritual experiences are not supposed to be isolated events in the life of the believer, but foundational encounters that the rest of that believer's life stands on. God does not only care about your spirit, but He cares about you holistically: your Spirit, Soul, and Body.

God never said your body does not matter! As a matter of fact, He said clearly in Matthew 6 that He will provide the food and clothing your body needs. He encourages us to take care of our bodies as His temple. Our body's success is not isolated, but dependent on the quality of our soul. Look at what the Bible says:

3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Here is the truth! Many people do not have prosperous lives or prosperous bodies because they do not have prosperous souls! In the greek, the word Soul here is psychē. It is where we get the word psychology, or the study of the mind and behavior, including your thoughts, emotions, and desires. Your soul is your MIND (WHAT YOU THINK), your WILL (WHAT YOU DESIRE), and your EMOTIONS (HOW YOU FEEL). Oftentimes, the Bible refers to your soul as your HEART, which is the Hebrew word leb. Heart means the seat of your soul. Now that you know this, look at what the Bible says about your heart:

Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he

Your heart has the ability to think because it is not just an organ in the Scripture. It is the seat of your soul, which contains your thoughts, desires, and emotions. Why is this important? You will only become what you think. This is why we prosper even as our soul prospers. The condition of your soul will determine the quality of your life.

The purpose of our spirituality should be to possess our soul. This was a direct command from Jesus:

Luke 21:19 In your patience possess ye your souls.

The entire war between Heaven and Hell, and between God and the Devil, is over your soul. This is why Jesus asked:

Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

A soul is the most valuable possession you will ever have. Jesus told people, who already followed Him, that they need to patiently possess their souls. That means that there can be people actively serving God but their SOULS are still being controlled by the enemy. The devil tells them what to think, how to feel, and what to want! Using the word patience shows us that this is not a brief walk in the park, but a life-long process that requires intentional commitment to warfare for your mind, will, and emotions. This month of Bible study seeks to help you in that fight.

We want our Holy Spirit to lead to a healthy soul! Additionally, we believe a healthy soul will result in clean soles; Our bodies will be clean as a product of our souls and we will shake the dust off our feet from traumatic experiences of our past. In the year of disruption, we acknowledge that God's shifting can be destructive; however, we don't want to be broken in the midst of the disruption around us. This month, we heal. This month, our spirituality must mean more. We won't just be spiritual, but our spirituality will lead to practical advancement through healed souls and clean soles.

Every Monday, we will have a weekly devotion that releases at midnight. This month, we will have a mental health workshop (the date, time, and registration will be announced). Our Monthly Summons will be a special fast on June 29-July 2. You can register at the button below:

I’ll forever be the biggest advocate for mental health!!! I love this. Alot of people overlook that he is the God of all things yet we don’t seek him for the most important thing. Clean souls = clean soles🤏🏽let’s get itttt
