What Are You Waiting For? Monthly Summons Fast: INTRO

⁷ The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

Greetings everyone, and welcome to our June-July Monthly Summons. This is a time of prayer and fasting around the topic of “Holy Spirit, Healthy Soul, and Clean Soles.” This month has been rich with revelation concerning the mind, and I am happy to report that it will not be coming to an end! The Lord has led us to continue studying this topic until the end of July!

Normally, our Monthly Summons is one day of prayer and fasting. However, the Lord led us differently. He told us to give Him 3 days at a specific point on the calendar. We are fasting from the last two days of June into the first two days of July. My mentor, the great Chief Prophet Samuel Clarkson-Williams, taught me this strategy in his upcoming book, Warring Gates. We are fasting around a GATE OF CONTENTION: “a strategic moment, season, transition, or threshold where unusual spiritual resistance arises because something significant is being contested.” He explains that there are particular days in the year, such as birthdays; days within the month, such as endings and beginnings; and times of day, such as midnight and noon, where there is high spiritual resistance. Therefore, our prayers and fasting will be strategic during these times to increase effectiveness.

Spiritual people, like the sons of Issachar, must be able to understand timing. It is not enough to know the forecast and ignore it. Another realm of Issachar understands how to PREPARE for the times. A failure to gather in the spring will starve you in the winter. Knowing what time it is, and knowing what to properly prepare during that time, is a spiritual advantage. A failure to recognize the time can cause you to miss your miracle, just as we see in the Scripture text for our fast.

For the next 3 days, we will be meditating on John 5. This story is about the man at the Pool of Bethesda who was healed by Jesus. Scripture says that they normally depended on the water to be troubled, and once it was, whoever stepped in first would be healed. This man was there waiting, with little to no hope because his ailment limited his ability to get into the water first. He did not have anyone to help him beat those around him. All of that changed when Jesus showed up!

Can I prophesy to you through this text?

First and foremost, you do not have to depend on traditional methods for healing when Rapha is on the scene! The world has systems for healing: antidepressants, psychiatrists, and more. The system may only work for some, but Rapha, the Lord who heals, can work for everyone who is willing to follow His guidance for healing!

Second, you do not have to compete or compare for healing! One reason the worldly system was not able to help everyone is because it only worked for those who could get into the water first. Oftentimes, we see the experiences of others and disqualify ourselves because we do not have their resources. Not all of us have health insurance for medication or hourly payments for a therapist. Not all of us have pastors who have taken mental health courses. But we all have Jesus.

The Lord told me to tell you that you do not need what they have to experience the healing they receive. As a matter of fact, you will notice as we fast that there is a difference between healing and wholeness. Jesus did not ask the man if he wanted to be healed, but if he wanted to be made whole. The pool, or the worldly systems of man, may help you heal, but they will not leave you whole — complete and lacking nothing — especially since they often come with a bunch of side effects.

Third, your situation is not too far gone! The man thought his condition was too specific because the worldly system could not accommodate him, but the presence of Jesus did! You may have a worse case than those around you, but that does not mean healing and wholeness are not for you. God can help you overcome whatever you went through because, with God, nothing is impossible.

Fourth, you no longer have to wait! This man was waiting for 38 years, but in a moment, he received his deliverance. What if I told you God was about to let you experience a suddenly in the midst of your long-suffering? The question is, when the suddenly shows up, will you be able to identify it? This fast will help you do so.
