Welcome to Day Five of the ’26 Disruption Consecration!

Yesterday, we spoke about being steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. Today, we will speak about the importance of using the power you have in your position.

Today's meditation verses are:

Matthew 16:18-19 NLT

18 Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.”

There are two types of believers: the passive believer and the active believer. To be passive means to sit around and wait for God to do something for you. To be active means to get up and manifest the will of God yourself.

If no one has ever told you, or if you need a reminder, you are NOT always waiting on God. There are sometimes, and I even argue MOST times, where God is waiting on YOU. The Earth realm is where He left mankind in dominion (Genesis 1:26–28). In the same way He does not control your body, even though it is His temple (1 Corinthians 6:19), He does not control the Earth realm even though the Earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof (Psalm 24:1). You do not just have free will to do what you want with your own life, but you also have some free will when it comes to what God wants to do in your life.

Look at what the Bible says in Zechariah 10:1 (KJV):

“Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.”

Timing is not enough for manifestation. The right timing does not mean you will receive what God has for you. As mentioned in our meditation verses, God is looking to see what you permit or forbid. God wants to see what you will bind or loose (Matthew 16:19). God wants to see what you will release or rebuke.

This is why it is important to stay in the right place, especially in the Spirit of God. In the Spirit, the Bible records that we are seated with Christ Jesus in heavenly places, far above every principality, power, ruler of darkness, and spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 2:6; Ephesians 1:20–21).

When you are seated higher than something, that means your word is more valuable than theirs. This is why it is important that we constantly speak the Word of God, because it is a Word seated in the highest place. When you speak the Word, you speak Christ Himself, who is the manifested Word (John 1:1, 14). You speak the same Word that bears the name JESUS, which at that same name every knee shall bow, including the powers of darkness and altars speaking against you (Philippians 2:9–11).

See, notice that Jesus is teaching Peter that while He was a disruptor, He cannot be disrupted by the Kingdom of Darkness. Hell may attempt to shut down the Church of Jesus Christ, but it is the only thing that will stand in the midst of a shaken world. The gates of hell cannot prevail against it (Matthew 16:18). We disrupt the world, but it cannot disrupt us. Jesus called Peter a stone, meaning that he was a critical part of the church that God was building (Matthew 16:18). Churches are not just buildings, but organisms made up of critical parts like you and I (1 Corinthians 12:27). The question is, when will you realize how important you are? When will you play your role? Things will not happen until you LEGISLATE.

You have keys. You have access. You have legal rights. You unlock and you lock up (Matthew 16:19; Revelation 3:7). As you fast, make STRONG declarations. Speak the things that are not as though they were (Romans 4:17). The reason why the picture for today's devotional is a mouth with a gavel is because the verdict to your situation is in your mouth. Life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). Will you crack the code to destiny with strong declarations, or will you passively sit quiet while the enemy speaks over your future?

Meet us in prayer tonight as we make STRONG DECLARATIONS!

As the Spirit leads, share in the comments how today’s fast or devotional has impacted you. Release a word of encouragement to someone else in this consecration. We are not walking alone. We are in this together.

This was powerful!!! Reminds us of our identity in Christ. Even if we don’t have a title in the (physical church) we have a title in the Kingdom. Not just as son and daughters of God but as legislators✨ idk this might be my favorite devotional so far.
